Privacy

This site has no advertising, no tracking cookies and no third-party scripts on its public pages. Checkout pages are hosted by Stripe and subject to Stripe's privacy policy.

Subscribers

When you subscribe we store:

• your email address
• your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan, subscription status and renewal date
• your alert preferences: states, industries, counties, minimum penalty and whether to include newly opened inspections
• a log of which weekly emails were sent to you and when, and the page you subscribed from

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded or failed.

Email is delivered through Resend, which processes your address and the message content to deliver it. We send only the weekly alert you paid for and account messages (welcome, sign-in links, payment problems). We don't use open or click tracking.

Hosting: the site, database and weekly data files run on Cloudflare.

We use this data only to provide the service and handle billing. We don't sell or share it. Stopping emails takes effect immediately from the link in any email. To delete your data, cancel your subscription and email hello@citationatlas.com; we delete your subscriber record within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.

Free alert

For the free alert we store your email address, the state you chose, the page you signed up from and when you confirmed. Nothing is sent except the confirmation email until you click its link (double opt-in). Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. Unsubscribing stops emails immediately; to delete the record, email hello@citationatlas.com.

Public records and business listings

Business phone numbers and websites in paid alerts come from public business listings (Overture Maps Places). They describe businesses, not individuals; establishment names that look like individuals are never matched.

Public records

Enforcement records on this site and in the alerts are public government records. We never include the names of injured or deceased workers. See methodology for how we handle names, and corrections to request a fix or removal.
