Sets design, performance, and use criteria for personal fall arrest, travel restraint, and positioning systems used in general industry. Components such as harnesses, lanyards, connectors, and anchorages must meet strength requirements, and anchorages for fall arrest must support 5,000 pounds per employee or be designed by a qualified person with a safety factor of two.
